报告的题目1：Cybersecurity: Challenges and Strategies (网络安全：挑战与应对)

 Abstract：Information security is of paramount importance to our Internet-based economy. As more things get smarter and connected to the Internet, we as humans become increasingly vulnerable. Without solid security solutions in place, our properties and lives could be at risk. Although many security solutions are offered on the market, they all fail to a large extent, as evidenced by the fact that 90% of all large institutions had data breaches and/or were held for ransom over the past 12 months. In this talk, we will first analyze why existing security solutions fail. Then we will introduce a philosophically different approach to security---data security: make your data and cyber activities coexist with all looming threats and continue to function normally even within compromised networks and systems. Key technologies in this approach include, among other things, (1) encryption with post-quantum secure key management, (2) smart integration of mandatory access control and encryption (SIME), (3) behavior intelligence and machine learning, and (4) policing drivers. Together, they protect your data against data breaches and any known and unknown attacks and secure your entire data cyberspace. They have been implemented and tested in real-world environments. Finally, we will conclude the talk with a live demo.

Short Bio: 自1997年6月起，任教于加拿大滑铁卢大学（University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada）电机与计算机工程系，现任加拿大信息论及其应用研究主席，加拿大滑铁卢大学终身教授，美国电气电子工程协会院士（Fellow of IEEE），加拿大工程院院士，和加拿大皇家科学院院士，是滑铁卢大学Leitch-University多媒体通信实验室的创始人，高科技公司Slipstream Data Inc.（现为加拿大BlackBerry公司的子公司）的创始人，高科技公司BicDroid Inc.的创始人兼总裁，同时担任中国海外交流协会常务理事，中国国务院侨办海外专家咨询委员会委员，上海市人民政府侨办海外咨询顾问，四川省海外交流协会顾问，华侨大学董事会董事。

曾任国际科学联盟评委，2017日本奖（仅次于诺贝尔奖）评委，世界信息论领域最具权威和影响力的国际学术期刊IEEE Transactions on Information Theory的编；2008年美国电气电子工程协会信息论国际研讨会议（IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory，全球信息论领域最大的顶尖国际会议）联合主席；2006年美国电气电子工程协会多媒体国际会议（IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo）技术程序委员会副主席；2004年加拿大电子通讯奖评选委员会主席；2004年IEEE Transactions on Information Theory特刊编辑；2003年美国国家科学基金委（US National Science Foundation）信息论与计算机科学交叉学科研讨会联合主席；2003年加拿大信息论领域研讨会联合主席。

研究领域包括：信息论，信息安全，多媒体压缩，数字通信，大数据。曾获得过诸多专业奖项和荣誉，包括首届 (2007年度) 安大略省省长发明奖；2007年加拿大万宁奖(Manning Award)(加拿大最富盛名的发明奖之一)； 2013年CPAC专业成就奖; 2014年美国电气电子工程协会信息论学会Padonavi讲座奖; 2014年加华专业教育基金成就奖。基于他的研究发明，并由Slipstream公司商业化生产的产品，荣获2006年加拿大安大略省“全球贸易商奖”。杨恩辉院士拥有200多项专利及专利申请，在世界权威杂志/会议上发表了220多篇学术论文，他的研究成果被用于通信、互联网、智能手机、视频开源代码、视频国际标准, 使全球170多个国家的数以亿万计的人们受益。2011年他被收入加拿大的名人录。
